The Nene Crossings Benefice and our Churches
We are the Nene Crossings Benefice. What’s a benefice you might ask well it is a group of parishes and what’s a parish? Basically it’s a church and an area around it. So what are we? In brief we are a group of Churches serving the town of Irthlingborough and the villages of Little Addington, Great Addington and Woodford. We cover the north of the bank of the river Nene between the A14 and somewhere near Rushden Lakes.
Our hope is to make the love of God known to the people and places we serve, offering a welcome for everyone. Even if we might look stuffy, we’re not, we don’t get hung up on appearances! So come as you are, where ever you are from and you will be welcome with us. For us the love of God and caring for the people we serve is our passion. Especially we seek to bring a little bit of light to what can sometimes be a dark place in life. With a tea, coffee and a giggle we don’t take much seriously, unless needed, so get in touch, come along and get involved. Now our group of churches are part of the Church of England, to find out more about what that means click here
